Mondelez International Inc Common Stock (NASDAQ:MDLZ) announced recently that it has appointed Martin Renaud to be the Global Chief Marketing Officer. In the new position, Ranaud will coordinate all the marketing activities for the firm’s product line including the popular brands such as Oreo and belVita biscuits, Milka chocolate, Trident gum and Cadbury Dairy Milk.

Ranaud, 50, brings on board extensive experience of over 28 years in marketing and general management including the commercial, strategy execution, and a strong record of sustaining sales growth. Before joining the company, Renaud was working at Danone as the president and other global firms across the world. Mondelez intends to reinvent its marketing efforts for the European market.

Meanwhile, the company recently launched healthy lifestyle initiatives that will offer education and training services on various nutritional aspects particularly to children and other people who are at risk of developing the lifestyle diseases. The programs will be rolled out across 10 countries worldwide including Argentina, Australia, Egypt, France, Nigeria, Russia, and Ukraine, in addition to the newly renewed programs in the United States, China and India.

The company plans to reach over 365,000 children and other people for the next three years. Furthermore, Mondelez International is also focusing on developing schools and community environments to ensure that the healthcare programs are adopted sustainably among the vulnerable communities especially in the third world countries.

The company has collaborated with several partners to guarantee that the programs’ goals are expanded to cover wider areas. One of the key partners for the programs is Helen Keller International that has collaborated with Mondelez on various education and healthy lifestyle projects in Indonesia.

Furthermore, plans are underway to extend the services to Nigeria and other countries in Africa in order to instill appropriate healthy lifestyle habits in children when at an early stage of growth. The healthy programs have been running since 2012 and more than a million children have largely gained from the projects.
