The stock of Walmart Inc (NYSE:WMT) closed at $87.74 losing 1.48% in yesterday’s trading session. Dicks Sporting Goods Inc (NYSE:DKS) and Walmart have taken a strong stand that they will not continue selling guns to customers that are 21 years of age or below. It is a matter that has resulted in many speculations among all those following on the latest developments.

There is a 20-year-old man who has hired an attorney to represent him and he is basically pushing for the company’s to shift from their current stand. According to him, he is unfairly being discriminated since his age shouldn’t be used against him.

The lawyer representing Tyler Watson is called Max Whittington and in a recent interview her outlined that any adult that was 18 and over fell in the category of the protected class and it would unfair barring such from obtaining what those 21 years and over enjoyed.

A person familiar with the matter opined, “There could be a challenge related to the Second Amendment right to bear arms if Oregon’s law changes. Some states such as Oregon, where Watson filed lawsuits against the retailers, provide protection for people 18 or older, while federal law protects those 40 or older.”

But the reality of the matter and which no one should ignore is the fact that the Second Amendment might end up posing a legal hurdle on the federal level and thus is is crucial to outline that such cases might need to be addressed in line with the statutory law.

Proper timing is essential according to Whittington who believes failure to check time could result in Second Amendment challenges. It is not the first time that these companies are being summoned in a law court to answer to questions. It is something that is usual for any enormous business because not all customers get to approve all the regulations that you put in place.
