Maury Regional Health Center has selected Cerner Corporation (NASDAQ:CERN), a global leader in healthcare technology to implement an integrated electronic health record (EHR) system across its three hospitals and 25 outpatient facilities.

The company is set to replace Meditech in its hospitals and NextGen in it’s the ambulatory services, with the Cerner’s hosted Millennium electronic health record, revenue cycle management and transaction services.

The Cerner’s Millennium HER will combine the company’s clinical and financial information into a single platform. This will bring in a Clinically Driven Revenue Cycle system which will assist the hospital staff to improve on their billing process and clinical documentation to help improve reimbursement and limit claims errors.

Cerner will now provide the company with improved systems useful to both health providers and patients. Maury Regional Health CEO, Alan Watson, said that Cerner’s integrated health IT platform will provide the needed support to its team across their fields and allow for possible sophisticated functionality.

Maury Regional will also adopt Cerner Transaction Services a suite of core services that aid in reducing the traditional bolt-on solutions. These services will present suggested practice workflows across Cerner revenue cycle management solutions to prevent redundant tasks and manage manual interference. Through its remote-hosting offering, Cerner will administer and support Maury Regional’s EHR and convey the clinical data from its Kansas City-based data center.

Cerner confirmed that Maury Regional, the largest medical center in Middle Tennessee, operates in a highly competitive and united health care market. Hence they are committed to give a strong platform that will sustain the organization’s leadership towards continuous accomplishments, independence and market strength. The Cerner’s President Zane Burke said that they will establish new linked health systems that will position the company at the center of the care journey.
