Sirius XM Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ:SIRI) has announced that it would provide an extensive coverage of the 2016-17 NBA season, by offering a live play-by-play of each game, from opening night, right through the finals. The coverage would also be accompanied by daily in-depth analysis and discussions, on SiriusXM NBA Radio.

The regular season at the NBA is due to begin on October 25, 2016, with three games, involving San Antonio Spurs, Golden State Warriors, Cleveland Cavaliers, New York Knicks, Portland Trailblazers and Utah Jazz. SIRI has dedicated channels for NBA, details of which are available in a separate section on the company’s website. The company has stated that subscribers of its All Access Plan can enjoy the game on satellite radio, as well as on its mobile app.

Regarding the corresponding talk shows, SIRI revealed that it would be host a number of current and former players and coaches from the NBA. In addition to this, the hosts would also take calls from fans, to discuss headlines from the NBA. Moreover, the company has also recalled Jason Terry, the former guard at Milwaukee Bucks and a 17-year veteran, to host “The Runway with Jason ‘The Jet’ Terry”. The show would be aired at 7:00 p.m. ET every Thursday.

Earlier, on October 20, Sirius XM also broadcasted the season premiere of “Basketball and Beyond with Coach K”. The show is being hosted by Mike Krzyzewski, the Hall of Fame head coach from Duke University and the also this year’s USA Olympic Men’s Basketball team. The show would be conducted on a weekly basis, on Thursday’s at 6:00 p.m. ET. For the show’s opening night, Gregg Popovich, the head coach of San Antonio Spurs, had been called in as a guest. It should be noted here that Mr. Popovich has also been appointed the head coach for the national Olympic team, for the next quadrennial.

Sirius XM Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ:SIRI) gained 0.48% in terms of its share value, during the October 21 trading session, to reach a close at $4.15 per share. The stock had a trade volume of 26.27 million.
