General Electric Company (NYSE:GE) has chosen to collaborate with Prysm Visual Workplace to help its workers customers and partners stay connected regardless of their locations. The collaboration is expected to lend a hand in strengthening the two company’s business ties given that each one of them has different high points. It is also a sign of commitment to expansion and absorption of joint “go-to-market” capabilities of cloud platforms.

Fostering growth of the industrial ecosystem

Prysm’s software is in everyday use across various key business areas. Apparently, it has already been adopted at General Electric’s new headquarters in Boston. The technology is now headed to the company’s new office in New York City. This is one of the many ways that General Electric is employing to augment its revenues. However, it will also be looking into ways of initiating steps to enhance its digital presence in Europe.

Having opened another new digital office in Paris – Digital Foundry, General Electric has a vision of going global. Remember, Paris is a hotbed for the industrial ecosystem. The strategic move, which is likely to capitulate an excess of 110 million Euros in annual revenues in Europe is driven by market predictions that digitization of products. Besides, the Digital Foundry forms a global set of connections of centers through which GE Digital is determined to nurture local startups. They will also come in handy in developing new applications, which attract a community of industrial developers.
