Axon, a business subsidiary of TASER International, Inc. (NASDAQ:TASR) and the world leader in connecting devices and apps for purposes of law enforcement, has announced receiving several orders of its Evidence.com ,a digital evidence management solution as well as body-worn cameras. The company received the orders late 2016 and during the first quarter of 2017. The orders were delivered in the last quarter of 2016 and more will be shipped in multiple quarters of 2017.

TASER International CEO and Co-Founder, Rick Smith says it is pleasing to see the increase in adoption of the company’s technology in law enforcement. Adding the recent supply to Georgia State Patrol and Nevada Highway Patrol are examples of the results of the company’s investment in new and innovative product lines. He adds that the company intends to expand the Axon network through introduction of new products like the Records Management System (RMS, Axon Signal Sidearm and the Axon Artificial Intelligence.

The company received significant orders for a wide range of its products from a number of departments. These include, Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Department, Nevada Highway Patrol (NV), Broward County Sheriff’s Office (FL), Florida Department of Corrections (FL), Fort Myers Police Department (FL), Midland Police Department (TX), Beaverton Police Department (OR) and Duluth Police Department (MN).

The company has to date contracted over 100,000 licenses on its Axon network worldwide. The network connected devices and apps to all very powerful capabilities for enhancing the safety of communities. These include Smart Devices like in-car video and  body cameras that use technology like Wi-Fi® and Bluetooth® to track and mange information. Mobile apps like evidence management with Android and iOS using Axon Capture and Axon View. The Unified and Integrated Digital Evidence Management System (DEMS), a platform that allows removal of siloed DEMS through integrations across media points, cloud computing as well as open file standards that don’t need media players or proprietary file formats. The Forensic Suite Tools mainly used in forensic analysis using Axon Detect and Axon Five and video format conversion using Axon Convert
