In the Game Developers Conference, held in San Francisco, NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ:NVDA) announced GameWorks™ DX12. It will add to the games more realism, and it will turn PC games into an cinematic experience. This way performance will be improved tremendously. In addition to adding new simulation effects and other capabilities that will optimize games for DirectX 12. Developments On DirectX To Improve Gaming Experience
NVIDIA actually presented many developer resources to develop DirectX 12, as well as revealing an upcoming Game Ready Driver optimized for DirectX 12 games. The company worked together with the game developers to enhance the game performance up to 16%, such as Ashes of the Singularity and Gears of War 4. In fact, the company has been working its magic since the very first launch of Pascal™ architecture, which is the most advanced DX12 GPU family. NVIDIA Reveals GTX 1080 Ti Graphics Card
Beside the DX12, NVIDIA also revealed the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti in the same conference, which is claimed by John Alben – Senior Vice President of GPU Engineering – to have an improvement in performance up to 35% over the GTX 1080. NVIDIA stated that with this new development, temperatures will see significant improvement that it will stay 5 degrees cooler under same noise level. It’s scheduled to launch the GTX 1080 Ti on March 6th for a price of $699. In addition to the GTX 1080 Ti announcement, Nvidia revealed new SKUs for the GTX 1080 and GTX 1060
Improvements On Linux
On the other hand, NVIDIA improved Linux Graphincs Debugger, and it’s a 3D graphics development tool. It allows developer to get the maximum use out of NVIDIA GeForce and Quadro GPUs, and it’s offered free of charge. This new feature allows developers to monitor key software and hardware metrics, this way it ensures they’re getting the most out of them. Also NVIDIA has developed NVIDIA DIGITS, which has a big use in training the highly accurate deep neural network (DNNs) for image classification, segmentation and object detection tasks.
