Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.(NASDAQ:AMD) just like other chip giants has taken this year’s Consumer Electronic Show by storm with the unveiling of 16 innovative high-performance AM4 motherboards. The company has also gone a notch higher with the unveiling of the much-awaited Ryzen processors, which it dubs the most competitive CPUs ever made.

AMDs AM4 Motherboards

The motherboards will come with inbuilt CPU coolers and will use the new unified AM4 socket. They will also feature Ryzen’s upcoming chipsets X370 and X300. The chipsets according to the company will target those in need of innovative features as well as performance and superior Input/output. connectivity.

 Some of the technologies that the two Ryzen chipset will support include Dual Channel DDR4 RA USB 3.1 Gen 1 & 2 as well as PCLe 3.0 capabilities. With the unveiling, the company is promising an unforgettable year as it moves to set the pace in the PC industry that has been on a decline in recent years.

AM4 Coolers

 The company has also confirmed that it is working with a number of cooler makers as it looks to come up with cooling solutions that can best cool various Ryzen CPUs. Noctua is one of the coolers makers that the company is in touch with to come up with customized coolers as well as EKWB, which is poised to support AM4 in its water-cooling kits

 The waiting game for the Ryzen processors to hit the shelves begins, AMD having only confirmed that it plans to launch the AM4 motherboards and compatible cooling units in the first quarter. The company says it expects AM4 computers from top PC makers sometime in the year once Ryzen launches.
