Facebook, Inc (NASDAQ:FB) has made clear its standpoint in regards to the deadly attack that took place on Saturday at the London Bridge. It has expressed total condemnation of the heinous act citing that it would move forward to remove terrorist content from its platform.

Theresa May, the British Prime Minister, while speaking on a number of top news reporters had gone to state that indeed there was great need to  restrict the dissemination of extremist content since it was responsible for attacks of this particular nature, something that they could not encourage as a government.

Last Sunday, May revealed that indeed Britain was willing to move ahead to work with the allied democratic governments in order to help tighten Internet regulation since that would go a long way in denying terrorists the tool they had over time been capitalizing in planning their attacks as well as spreading extremism.

While addressing a press conference, May said, “We cannot allow this ideology the safe space it needs to breed, yet that is precisely what the internet and the big companies that provide internet-based services provide.”

As would have been expected, comments by May added new fuel to the debate in line with the balancing free speech in an age of terrorism and by Facebook moving in to give its perspective and stand there is indeed hope that the problem might soon be faced out.

The London attack has been condemned by a lot of top organizations and governments as well and the world is at the moment looking at the matter more closely in a bid to prevent future attacks in any part of the world.
