Alphabet Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL) and Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) this time around have met heads-on over the scramble over who should become the next major computing platform. These two companies boast of professional assistants who would grasp any opportunity to out-do each other. Amazon’s Alexa as well as the Google assistant are in a wild rush to ensure that their respective companies gain access to a large number of the top devices. It was last Sunday when Amazon came forward to make it public that it had officially recruited Motorola Solutions Inc (NYSE:MSI), a partner it believes to be best placed to assist it reach its goals.

Basically, voice is the only thing that is required in controlling virtual assistants. All you need to do is simply instruct them to get you some information in a given area or subject, help keep guard of your home or check the calendar for you. Everyday, technology continues to advance to greater heights and that inspires both the companies with each claiming that there lies great potential ahead.

Sometime back, Alexa could only be found on the Echo smart-phone hub. On the other hand, the only place you would find Google assistant was in the Google Pixel Smartphone and the Google Home hub. However, the recent past has witnessed some of the third-party hardware manufacturers steeping in and getting accommodated.

It was great news to most of the android users last Sunday when Google came forward to announce that its Google assistant was going to be made available on all Android phones. The deal sounded even much better when it stated that all the users of android phones were going to benefit from the move provided they ran Android 6.0 or the new versions. Lenovo as also come out to show its interest in joining Amazon to pull in Alexa to its high end products.

Google is struggling with accepting the fact that the biggest Smartphone makers globally have let it down by choosing to partner with Amazon. It expected things to be different considering that it has been working with these leading companies form quiet a long period of time. The war between the two industry leaders is expected to rage more and more.
